Dave Petzold

Dave Petzold is an illustrator and author living on Bundjalung Country in New South Wales. Dave's debut picture book, Seven Seas of Fleas, was released in 2020 with Starfish Bay Publishing. It was CBCA shortlisted for the New Illustrator Award in 2021. He also illustrated The Kindness Club, written by Kate Bullen-Casanova and released in 2022 with  Bright Light Books (Hardie Grant Children's Publishing). Dave is currently working on a picture book, set to be published by Thames and Hudson in 2024. 

Dave loves creating characters who are curious and question the status quo, and hopes that if you read his books you become curious about your world, too!
