Out now: Ray by Sarah Zweck

Sarah Zweck's author-illustrator debut Ray – a gorgeous picture book about the way happiness finds us the moment we stop looking for it – is out now!

It's a charming and tender re-imaging of the classic line from Henry David Thoreau: happiness is like a butterfly, the more you chase it, the more it will elude you, but if you turn your attention to other things, it will come and sit softly on your shoulder.

A child is upset when their beloved butterfly, Ray, flies away. Instead of dwelling on their loss, they turn their attention to playtime, friends and fond memories. Before they know it, their happiness has been rekindled.

A relatable and comforting read-aloud, illuminated by Sarah's bright, gorgeously layered illustrations!
