Ray

A child is upset when their beloved butterfly, Ray, flies away. Instead of dwelling on their loss, they turn their attention to playtime, friends and fond memories. Before they know it, their happiness has been rekindled.

Ray is a gorgeous story about the way happiness finds us the moment we stop looking for it. It's a charming and tender re-imaging of the classic line from Henry David Thoreau: ‘happiness is like a butterfly, the more you chase it, the more it will evade you, but if you notice the other things around you, it will gently come and sit on your shoulder.’
